Ingredients
- 1 cup pure tahini (sesame paste)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1–2 tsp salt, to taste
- ~¾ cup ice-cold water (as needed)
Instructions
- Directions:
- Step 1: Mix the Base
- In a medium bowl, combine the tahini, lemon juice, and salt.
- Step 2: Add Water Gradually
- Slowly whisk in the ice-cold water, a few tablespoons at a time. The mixture will first thicken, then become smooth and creamy.
- Step 3: Adjust Consistency
- Continue whisking until you reach your desired texture — add more water for a thinner, pourable sauce or less for a thicker dip.
- Step 4: Season to Taste
- Taste and adjust with more lemon juice or salt if needed.
- To Serve & Store
- Serve fresh as a dip, drizzle, or side for appetizers and mains.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
