Ingredients
- 12 ounces bowtie pasta
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup sesame oil
- 1 to 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup honey roasted peanuts
- 1/2 cup sliced green onion
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook 12 ounces bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 1/3 cup sesame oil. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently, to infuse the oils with flavor.
- Add 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup soy sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon salt to the saucepan. Stir to combine, then remove from heat. Pour the warm sesame mixture over the cooked pasta. Toss until evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
- When ready to serve, stir in 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro, 1/2 cup honey roasted peanuts, and 1/2 cup sliced green onion.
